Fall Decorating
Whenever Fall comes around I have grand visions of mulled wine on the patio before a blazing chiminea under twinkling fairy lights (all you need is an extension cord) dangling romantically in the branches of a tree. Front steps overflowing with pumpkins and candlelight and ears of corn to the roof inviting guests in to the scent freshly baked apple pie (picked of course from one of those pick-your-own orchards) cooling on a rustic farmhouse table bursting with the warm colors of Fall. Tabletop Pumpkin Topiary anyone?
This funny Fall Facebook post is generally how it all ultimately goes down:
Fall decorating requires time and effort. By the time I get around to making the effort our road is already transforming into a Nativity scene.
Time already moves so ridiculously quickly. I believe we can slow it down by being more in the moment, appreciating the moment and the season by recognizing its bounty and incorporating it into our days and homes. If you have the time, resources and necessary creative energy here is how to transform your home, Southern Living style.
Alternatively, buy a few ‘Mums’ and pumpkins.
It’s Fall Y’all ! Quick, before its too cold for mulled wine on the patio under the Christmas Tree ?
